Join to apply for the Apprentice Administrator role at VolkerWessels UK. The position is based at the Drayton office in Chichester and supports the Highways Traffic Management and Street Lighting contracts.
VolkerHighways is an integrated highways service provider operating across London and the South of England. Our goal is to deliver the best highways solutions within our industry through efficiency, responsibility and a focus on clients and their customers. Our services include highways term maintenance, street lighting and electrical services, surfacing, traffic management and public realm infrastructure projects. We also offer Smart City services through VolkerSmart Technologies. We help clients to focus on their customers’ needs using highways solutions based on safety, resident and business needs, asset management and asset improvement.
Responsibilities
- Use a range of office software, including Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Teams.
- Organise meetings, take meeting notes and log actions.
- Manage company correspondence, including phone calls, e‑mails and packages.
- Maintain filing systems.
- Develop and implement new administrative systems, such as records management.
- Manage inventory of office supplies, including stationery and multimedia equipment to ensure smooth office operations.
- Perform data entry tasks, including updating of records and databases.
- Respond to queries that may be raised across the project.
Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent at grade 4/C and above in English & Maths.
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, literacy and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible/proactive – can do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
