Business Development Manager – Public Sector
Location: Manchester
Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped sales commission scheme
The Role of Business Development Manager
In this role, you will focus on winning Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts and compliance projects within the public sector. You will engage directly with estate managers, procurement officers, and FM providers, positioning Trinity as the partner of choice for long-term Fire and Security servicing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Sector-Focused Sales: Develop and execute a sales plan targeting public sector clients, including NHS Trusts, councils, housing associations, and schools.
- Framework & Tender Navigation: Identify opportunities via public sector frameworks and portals; lead on bid submissions with internal support.
- Relationship Building: Build trust and long-term relationships with key decision-makers, promoting Trinity’s value-added approach to compliance and safety.
- Account Development: Upsell and cross-sell across existing public sector client bases in collaboration with service delivery teams.
What You Need
- Demonstrable success selling compliance and/or service contracts into the public sector
- Familiarity with public procurement processes, frameworks, and tendering cycles
- Understanding of Fire and Security maintenance standards (e.g., BS5839, BS5266)
- Strong communicator and relationship-builder with a consultative approach
