The start date for this role will be 12th January 2026.

Location: Within a 90-minute travel radius of your home (applicants must reside within Wakefield)

Salary: From £27,965 + £4,200 per annum car allowance + uncapped monthly bonus as a guide our current Field team earn monthly bonuses from £200-£400 Earnings Potential: Up to £35,765 per year (inclusive of car allowance) Hours: Flexible, 40 hours per week (including peak shifts) No Warrant Work Involved

About the Role

As a Field Collections Agent, you\’ll be the friendly face of Orbit, meeting customers at their homes to help them find a way forward with their finances. You’ll offer empathy, guidance, and practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your key responsibilities

  • Visit customers to resolve outstanding arrears and discuss payment options
  • Handle accounts for both regulated and non-regulated clients. This will include reconnection visits
  • Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with client services
  • Educate customers about the potential consequences of non-payment
  • Use an Orbit-supplied iPad to update account outcomes in real time

Candidates who have previously been successful in this role have come from a background in Sales, Military or Police.

Working Hours

We offer a 40-hour workweek with a supportive approach to work-life balance. Your visits will be scheduled across the following operating window:

  • Monday–Friday visiting times can be between 8am–8pm
  • 10 Prime Hours required (Monday to Friday Prime Hours are 4pm–8pm & Saturday Prime Hours are 9am–1pm)

  • Clear criminal record
  • No CCJs, IVAs, or bankruptcies in the last 6 years
  • Full driving licence (max 6 points), own car, and will require business insurance
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working independently
