Their portfolio includes some of the most prestigious and architecturally ambitious builds in the industry — combining luxury design with cutting-edge engineering. They pride themselves on setting the standard in delivery, coordination, and client satisfaction. Due to sustained growth and new project wins, they are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead the design coordination across our flagship projects. Role Overview As MEP Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for the complete coordination of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems from pre-construction through to project completion. You will work closely with consultants, specialist subcontractors, site teams, and clients to deliver fully integrated MEP packages. This is a key role requiring excellent multi-tasking, strong design leadership, and the ability to manage multiple MEP subcontractors and assist with each MEP package concurrently. You will also be expected to manage external CAD teams, ensure design deadlines are met, and maintain full compliance with project specifications. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee MEP design development across all project stages Coordinate the output of multiple MEP design and installation subcontractors Manage and review the stage 4 design information Push all teams to meet key delivery milestones Direct and support external CAD teams to ensure timely production of coordinated drawings and models Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, technical standards, and client requirements Drive the resolution of design issues and ensure seamless integration with architectural and structural elements Oversee BIM workflows, model coordination, and clash detection (where applicable) Support procurement, tender review, and value engineering efforts Manage drawing registers Foster strong working relationships with consultants, site teams, and subcontractors Required Experience & Skills Proven experience as an MEP Design Manager within a main contractor environment Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems and construction methodologies Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and CAD teams effectively Strong track record in driving project teams to meet strict design deadlines Excellent coordination, multi-tasking, and stakeholder communication skills Familiarity with UK Building Regulations and industry best practice Proficient in BIM software including Revizto, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks Degree-qualified in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be preferable (or equivalent)
