Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer Horsham, West Sussex Hybrid available + half day on Friday £35,000 – £60,000 + excellent bens. We are a surveillance and fire control specialist providing bespoke solutions for Land and Maritime domains. By working with us, you have access to advanced technology solutions – We have three decades of experience in designing, developing and manufacturing solutions from the ground up. You will be instrumental in the development of high-performance targeting and surveillance equipment for land and naval defence applications. We have a rapidly growing orderbook with our well-established, world-wide customer base and we are looking for talented individuals as we ramp-up to deliver these key contracts. You will enjoy the challenges of system complexity and conflicting requirements and have a keen eye for detail. You will be given the opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of projects with significant levels of responsibility over project risks, cost, and schedule. Key Responsibilities – Systems Engineer Requirements Capture and management. Functional and Physical Systems Architecture Design and Definition. System Modelling. Development of Engineering Management Plans (Safety Management, Test Integration & Acceptance, Technical Risk Management). Gathering of verification evidence for System Requirements. Creation of Procurement Specifications for sub-systems and components. Writing test specifications Conducting Design reviews. Environmental Qualification Plans (EMC, Temperature, Shock & Vibration) Skills & Experience – Systems Engineer Essential A good degree in Engineering or physical sciences Minimum of 5 years’ systems engineering experience in a defence engineering (or similar) company. Proficient in the use of requirements management tools (DOORS, Visure or R4J) Work package management in JIRA Proficient in Report Writing
