Salary: £31,930 to £36,878 per annum (pro rata) – DOE & Qualifications

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing sixth form setting dedicated to delivering outstanding A-Level teaching to students aged 16-18

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality A-Level Psychology lessons.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development.
  • Provide timely assessment and feedback to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and attainment.
  • Support enrichment activities such as trips, guest speakers, or events.
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity policies.
  • Participate in performance reviews and continuous professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to departmental success.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree in Psychology or a closely related subject.
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent (or working towards).
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – Grade A-C.
  • Experience teaching A-Level Psychology in a Sixth Form or Further Education setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage 16-18 learners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and reflective practice.

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering enrichment and extracurricular activities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of A-Level curriculum and exam board requirements.
