Position summary As a Quality Systems Engineer (QSE) you will be accountable for managing, maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it’s always audit-ready, and supporting the business. The QSE will lead internal and external audits, pinpointing areas for improvement and making sure corrective actions are followed through. The role involves working closely with the Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality is upheld at every stage of manufacturing. DFS being certified to several different standards, including ISO9001, ATEX, MID, UL, the engineer will liaise and co-operate with external notification bodies ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation. In addition, the QSE will support our customer audits, and pursue any new certifications needed as per the business needs. As the Quality system Engineer, you will be responsible for: Oversee effective implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System throughout the company Maintain the Quality Manual. Ensure training and compliance to quality system procedures throughout the organization. Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.) to ensure quality requirements are understood and met. Participate in multi discipline teams to address quality system improvements, aligned to the achievement of company objectives. Support risk management and change control activities. Monitor and report on quality system metrics (e.g., nonconformities, audit findings, CAPA status). Maintain and execute the internal and external audit program Act as the main point of contact for all QMS related topics within the Dundee factory Maintain the correct accountability regarding the certifications across the departments in the organization Maintain and monitor all non-conformances ensuring effective remedial, corrective, and preventative actions are taken in a timely manner, escalate as required. Collaboration with approval / certification bodies, wider business, and Customers to interpret and define requirements Gain new certifications, as needed by the business Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance Develop best practices around document control Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities using 8D, 5 Why, A3. Provide backup for other compliance, External/Internal quality disciplines Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory changes. In order to be considered for this position, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet the following Essential Criteria: Fluent English language, both verbal and written Proven experience of managing a Quality Management System ISO 9001 lead auditor training certification Strong practical knowledge of Quality standards including ISO9001 Ability to deal with several projects at once Excellent problem-solving skills, and good knowledge Lean tools e.g. 5 WHY, ISHIKAWA, A3, 8D Good presentation skills, including common use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint If you are a self-motivated, hands on, dynamic individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, the Quality Assurance Specialist role will afford you the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, gaining opportunities for both personal and professional growth and future company advancement.
