Managing Director / CEO – High-Growth Fintech

Manchester (On-site, 5 days/week) | Full-Time

Are you a high-energy, commercially driven leader with a passion for scaling businesses and driving transformational growth?

An established and fast-growing fintech business, operating in the digital banking space, is seeking a Managing Director / CEO to lead its next phase of accelerated expansion. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader β€” or an outstanding Sales or Operations Director ready to make the step up to the top job.

About the Role

This is not a caretaker position. We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives in a scale-up environment, is comfortable being on the ground 5 days a week, and brings an infectious energy to every room. You will lead the commercial agenda, deliver revenue growth, and build a high-performing, accountable culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and execute a bold, clear commercial strategy for business growth.
  • Drive significant revenue uplift through new customer acquisition, partnerships, and operational optimisation
  • Lead a talented senior team and bring best-in-class leadership and clarity to the business.
  • Act as the primary interface with the board, external partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Own performance and P&L, with a relentless focus on scaling operations and improving margins.
  • Shape the culture: entrepreneurial, high-urgency, high-output.

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership experience as a CEO, MD, or exceptional Sales/Ops Director ready for promotion
  • Strong commercial and operational skill set with hands-on experience scaling a business.
  • Track record of growing revenues rapidly in a B2C or tech-enabled environment (fintech/digital banking experience a plus).
  • Dynamic communicator and inspirational leader β€” you bring energy and drive others to perform.
  • Analytical and action-oriented, with an instinct for metrics, growth levers, and execution
  • Comfortable in a highly accountable, in-office, agile working environment.

The Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-linked bonus
  • Potential equity participation
  • A platform with real momentum, ready for the right person to take it to the next level

This is a Manchester-based, in-office leadership role (5 days/week) β€” perfect for someone who wants to make a visible, lasting impact on a growing fintech brand. If you have the hunger to build something special and the experience (or readiness) to lead from the front, we want to hear from you.

All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
