We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to us as a Service Charge Officer. This is a permanent job, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role is working from our King Street office, in Norwich. The role comes with Agile Working and Flexible Working will be considered.
As a Service Charge Officer, you will provide a quality, professional, compliant and comprehensive service charge process. Ensuring service charges are fair, transparent and deliver value for money for both customers and Flagship.
Your main responsibilities are to deal with service charge queries from internal and external customers. Reviewing service charges costs for accuracy, liaising with the Purchase Ledger Team and Finance Business Partners as required to ensure accuracy and completeness.
You will prepare service charge budgets annually, reconciling actual costs for all properties with a variable service charge and issue year end statement of accounts, complying with agreements, leases and current legislation. Additionally, providing guidance to the Development Team in relation to services provided on schemes
Applications are welcomed for the role of Service Charge Officer from those with excellent computer literacy, particularly Excel. You must be able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team or project.
With a working knowledge of a Housing Management Systems, as well as knowledge of both Service Charge rules and regulations and knowledge of accounting systems. Whilst not essential, the ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or equivalent.
