Reporting to: Stores and Logistics Manager
Xtrac is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of specialist transmissions. Our customers include the top motorsports racing series including Formula One, Le Mans, IndyCar and NASCAR and we also supply transmissions for the most exclusive high-performance cars in the world. We are at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation opportunity as the automotive industry transitions from internal combustion to electric and hybrid and our experienced and dedicated teams are using the latest cutting-edge technology to achieve this transition.
Xtrac also has a new partnership with Zoerkler, a specialist in gear manufacture and precision engineering. This strategic venture marks a significant step forward in our ambitious growth plans and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class transmission components and systems to our customers.
About the Role
To ensure accurate picking, packing, delivery, receipt, and storage of Xtrac parts.
Goods receipt is a crucial part of this role. We receive goods in from 3 specific areas: outside supply, internal manufacturing and Subcontract work moving in and out of the business.
The successful person would ideally have experience of these activities and can demonstrate previous knowledge of this function.
Day to Day Duties
- To participate in perpetual stock taking exercises
- To pick sales orders from stock
- To pick gearbox kits for the Build Shop
- To pack parts for internal storage and external sales in accordance with internal guidelines
- To prepare delivery and exportation documentation
- To receive parts into stores from external suppliers
- To move jobs onto other departments
- To accurately input data into ERP system
- To liaise with internal & external customers.
- To be part of the personal development process and attend reviews as required.
- To observe Health and Safety rules.
- To follow company quality procedures.
- To carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.
About You
- Literate and numerate.
- Previous Stores/warehouse environment.
- Stock takes, picking, delivery and export information, processing goods in.
- Using MRP/EPR system
- Able to follow processes and documentation.
- Basic PC Skills –
- Be able to appreciate customer demands.
- Be able to produce well-written and concise records.
- Capable of working to very close limits and very high standards.
- Capable of working on own initiative without supervision.
