About the Role
Our award-winning Food and Beverage team are at the hub of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bartender to join our Road Hole Bar overlooking the Old Course.
You will be primarily ensuring the smooth running of the bar whilst creating exquisite cocktails and serving drinks to order, supporting the Food and Beverage team within the 4th Floor allowing them to focus on providing the world class service that our guests expect.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare and serve beverages with precision and flair, including cocktails, mocktails, wine, spirits, and specialty drinks, in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring each guest feels welcomed, valued, and attended to in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times, including regular cleaning of bar tools, counters, and glassware.
  • Provide expert knowledge of drink menus, ingredients, pairings, and hotel offerings to advise and upsell to guests confidently.
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service guidelines, adhering to regulations and hotel policies.
  • Manage bar inventory, including stock rotation, replenishment, and assisting with regular inventory checks and ordering processes.
  • Collaborate with the bar team and hotel staff, ensuring smooth service, clear communication, and consistent guest satisfaction.
  • Create a memorable and refined atmosphere, maintaining the highest standards of appearance, behaviour, and professionalism.
  • Assist in training junior staff and contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and guest feedback responses.

To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities and experience:

  • Previous bar / mixology experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of beverages, cocktails and bar operations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Mixology qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
