The post holder will be responsible in setting the standard of care to be provided to our patients who visit our facility for treatment, manage departmental budgets and provide support to Nursing staff as needed. The post holder will be responsible for taking charge of JACE clinic and will be responsible for leading a team of staff and coordinating care within all surgical disciplines in JACE Clinic. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner undertaking clinical and administrative duties to support excellence in care within JACE Clinic. The post holder will be proactive and flexible to positively influence the health and wellbeing of patients in all aspects of their care at JACE Clinic. The post holder will play a key role in planning, teaching, training and assessment of all staff in JACE Clinic. To operate within JACE Medical\’s policies and procedures and to be responsible for maintaining their professional development and revalidation, keeping up with issues relating to nursing practice. Duties and Responsibilities As a member of the clinical team, the post holder will participate in and contribute to the following: Managementofmaintaining thestandards ofJACEClinic,andresponsibilityfor ensuring staffing arrangements are maintained. Will assist the Registered Manager to ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to by all staff. Delegateappropriateresponsibilityandauthoritytothelevelofstaffwithin his/her control. Willassist asrequiredintheselectionandappointmentofnewstaff. Provideguidance forstaffpersonaldevelopment requirements andfacilitate further training where appropriate. Ensurethatprograms ofcarearecarriedouttooptimum standardsintheJACE clinic. Monitor and report on patients\’ conditions according to local policy and ensures maintenance of patient records as required. Ensureconfidentialityofpatientrecords. PromoteexcellentcommunicationwithintheNursingTeam. Liaises with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of holistic and patient centred care at JACE Medical. Ensure complaintsare dealt with in a sensitive and timely manner and in line with local policy. Adheres to regulations regarding theControlled Drugs Actand thepolicies on Custody, Storage and Administration of all medication. Organisesanefficientcarepathwayensuringcontinuityofpatientcare. Isresponsibleforandparticipatesintheinductionofnew staff. Professionaldecisionmakingandeffectiveteammember. Representtheclinic atregularUserGroupmeetings. Participate, support and comply with mandatory and departmental clinic audits to provide a quality service to patients. Promote a culture of continuous service improvement among your staff, encouraging their participation and that of service users in reviewing and enhancing current services to facilitate quality improvement. Lead the nursing team and actively participate in clinical practice. Acts as a specialist resource within the clinic and utilizes clinical expertise and knowledge by providing guidance and support to other staff. Ensures the economic use of resources and maintenance of all equipment. Takes responsibility for continued professional development and maintain portfolio of learning and development. Participates in the procurement process in relation to equipment and accessories. The post holder will ensure that they take all concerns raised with them seriously and act in line with JACE Medical policy anc procedures. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The post holder will be required to: Co-opera1e fully with the implementation of the JACE Medical\’s Health and Safety arrangements, reporting any accidents/incidents/equipment defects to his/her manager, and maintaining a clean, uncluttered and safe environment for patients/clients, members of the public and staff. Adhere at all times to all JACE Medical policies and codes of conduct Contribute to ensuring the highest standards of environmental cleanliness within your designated area of work.
