If you’re an experienced children’s social worker looking for the chance to try something completely new, this is for you..

This is a rare opportunity to live and work on the remote and remarkable island ofa self-governing UK Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic. You’ll be joining the children & families service of a super close-knit community, where your quality work will really make a positive difference to all the service users.

You’ll manage a complex caseload focused on child protection and safeguarding , as well as court work, while supporting the development of a new strategic framework for integrated social services. You’ll also lead practice improvements and quality of assessments and care planning, by mentoring, leading meetings and workshops, updating the team on practice developments and research findings, as well as the induction of new staff.
