Apprenticeship Role
As an apprentice, you will learn the fundamental knowledge required to work in a protective coatings manufacturing environment and be prepared to pursue a career in the Quality Control team. The role involves project work and QC testing of products prior to dispatch. You will learn about quality standards, product development, testing, and delivery processes. Working with highly skilled professionals, your operational knowledge will significantly grow during the apprenticeship.
Training and Responsibilities
You will participate in a structured training program in Quality Operations, including comprehensive on-the-job training covering all aspects of operations from production to market delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Training and competency in the safe and effective operation of QC equipment
- Completing the Level 3 apprenticeship successfully
- Participating in continuous improvement activities to reduce costs without compromising quality
- Contributing to team effectiveness with a flexible approach
- Completing tasks within deadlines following procedures and SOPs
- Assisting in developing 6S standards in communal areas
- Proactively suggesting process improvements and encouraging team involvement
- Engaging in positive training for self-development and departmental coverage
- Fostering a team-oriented culture within and across departments
- Maintaining effective communication within and between teams
- Ensuring proactive adherence to H&S and security requirements
