Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The job holder will undertake a range of advanced non-invasive cardiac investigations, with the knowledge and expertise to interpret and advise clinicians.

Provide clinical and professional leadership to Physiology colleagues in the specialist area

The individual will assist in the provision and quality of the specialist areas, and the day-to-day organisation of the respiratory and cardiac function services at

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • BSc Clinical Physiology / BSc Healthcare Science (PTP) – Clinical Cardiac Physiology
  • MSc in Healthcare Science (STP) – Clinical Cardiac Physiology
  • DipHE or HND/C in MPPM
  • ILS (adult)
  • registration eligibility with RCCP or AHCS

Desirable criteria

  • BSE accreditation or IBHRE/BHRS exam
  • Paediatric BLS

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Minimum 5 years\’ experience as a Cardiac Physiologist, trainee or qualified

  • Ability to work and interact as part of a team as well as on an individual basis

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.

The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month\’s payment.

The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
