The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic EPC Project Director to take full ownership of delivering a nationally significant clean energy asset — from detailed engineering and EPC oversight, through to commissioning and start-up.

Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of the project, ensuring alignment with investor and stakeholder objectives.
Develop and execute the overall delivery strategy, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets are met.
Manage key project contracts and lead resolution of variations or claims as needed.
Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
Oversee integration and interface management between engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors.
Serve as the primary liaison to the Owner’s Engineer, ensuring full alignment with project delivery goals.
Ensure OE resourcing is appropriate and communication between stakeholders is seamless.
Manage delivery of the electrolyser supply contract.
Oversee EPC contracts and ensure integration with grid connection works.
Maintain strong relationships with regulators, government bodies, funding entities, the offtaker, and the local community.
Ensure contractual and reporting obligations to stakeholders (e.g., under offtake and government funding agreements) are met.
Provide updates to the project steering committee and board as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related technical field.
10+ years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior delivery role on large-scale energy/infrastructure projects (ÂŁ80M – ÂŁ100k+ CAPEX).
Demonstrated experience working with or managing Operator
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer or Project Manager).
Experience with greenfield and brownfield project development and delivery.
Familiarity with UK energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and funding mechanisms
Proven delivery of complex EPC projects with commissioning and handover experience.
Strong understanding of project contracts and commercial delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
