Southern Water are looking for a Shift Controller to assist with the running and upkeep of Burham Water Supply Works. As a Shift controller you will be monitoring and adjusting the operation of the Water Supply Works applying your knowledge of compliance, pride and passion for housekeeping, environmental regulations and health and safety to ensure that the site is compliant with water quality standards.
You will undertake key responsibilities which oversee a continuous operation of the water supply works which will guarantee that no 2 days are the same. As a shift controller you will ensure that non potable water as specified by the DWI regulations does not leave our site, guaranteeing that water quality is fit for supply to protect public health. Your reactionary skills will come into play to respond to high level alarms and process changes.
This is a full-time permanent position consisting of 12-hour shifts working in the following shift pattern:
4 days on 7 days off
3 days on 7 days off
4 nights on 7 days off
3 nights on 7 days off
On some your days off you will be needed to cover a standby rota.
