Street Cleansing Operative Industry: Infrastructure Location: Isle of Wight Hours:5.30/ 6.30am – 1.30/2.30pm (40 hours per week) Days: Monday – Sunday ( on a rota basis, 2 consecutive days off) Duration: Immediate start, temporary ongoing Duties: Driving upto HGV Class 2 Vehicles/Plant. Working on own initiative, to set routes, emptying public bins (including dog waste), manual handling. Reporting asset defects and maintenance requirements. Litter picking and road sweeping, with hand cart. Clearing gullies and drains, Weeding and gum or graffiti removal Vehicle checks and reporting maintenance. Adherence to health and safety. Experience: Must have Catergory C/ Class 2 Licence and valid CPC. Must be able to work well on own initiative, outside in all weathers and adhere to schedules. Must be physically able to walk for distances and undertake manual handling duties. Must have full driver’s licence and a good understanding of health and safety.
