Job title: Female Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Rubery, B45

Job purpose

To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests. You may sometimes be asked to accompany my client on outings/overnight stays.

About the employer

My client is outgoing disabled, independent 30-something, living in the Rubery area. Our client lives in a two-bedroom bungalow & has an assistance dog. Our client is looking for personal care assistants to join my small team to support them in remaining living independently.

Main duties

  • Social duties: support to keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
  • attend medical appointments if required
  • attend social events & accessing the community
  • Personal care: Support with all aspects of Personal Care daily.
  • Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, cooking, and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person

Flexible and Reliable. Own transport essential. Driving Licence essential. MUST be able to drive a manual vehicle. Previous care experience would be an advantage, but not essential, as personality and a willingness to learn is key to this role. (Moving & Handling training provided) You should be fun and outgoing with a can-do attitude. Have a kind and caring disposition and be patient. You must always respect my privacy and confidentiality. Able to always promote my independence.

Hours and pay

Hours of work: 15-20 hours per week + Holiday & Sickness Cover.

Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour

  • Essential: driving licence – Able to drive a Manual Vehicle, car and appropriate insurance

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
