Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing and supply firm on the appointment of an HSEQ Manager. As the HSEQ Manager, you will ensure HSEQ is embedded in the company's culture, driving employee engagement at all levels on Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality matters. You will oversee the continuous improvement of the HSEQ management system, ensuring legal compliance, maintaining accreditations, and promoting best practices. In your new role: Foster a positive safety culture through leadership and engagement, ensuring employees, customers, and contractors return home safely Maintain and audit the integrated HSEQ systems (ISO & BES6001) Promote a workplace culture supporting employees' physical and mental wellbeing Monitor and manage HSEQ risks, ensuring safe operations, injury prevention, and minimal environmental impact Proactively monitor HSEQ compliance across sites, advising and implementing improvements Maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and RAMS in line with legislation and guidance Communicate HSEQ information effectively to ensure understanding and compliance by employees, contractors, and visitors Manage the contractor approval system and enforce robust contractor control procedures Provide HSEQ training and information to ensure competence of employees and contractors Ensure safe plant, equipment, and working environments across all sites Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions Maintain strong working relationships with regulators and stakeholders, including HSENI, NIEA, and local councils What you will need to succeed: 3+ years' experience within the similar H&S role (manufacturing) Relevant Health and Safety qualification Experience with ISO standards and auditing – ISO Good communication skills IT and numeracy skills (MS Office) Full clean UK driving license – travel required Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't): Experience within a products manufacturing environment Previous experience in concrete NEBOSH Diploma For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
