Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Engineer within the Process Simplification Workstream, you’ll help shape delivery methods as a major nuclear project transitions from civil to M&E installation. You’ll work cross‑functionally to review, improve and streamline key project processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the Process Simplification Manager in developing and rolling out simplified arrangements.
- Deliver and facilitate workshops, ensuring all outputs are documented and published in the IMS.
- Manage interface activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment and compliance.
- Conduct assurance reviews and process audits to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support compliance with external standards (ISO 9001, GQAS, Site Licence Conditions).
- Drive continual improvement through data monitoring, issue resolution, and optimisation.
- Prepare reports, KPI dashboards, and summaries for governance meetings.
- Collaborate with teams across the client Project to embed best practice in process simplification.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements – ESSENTIAL
- Understanding of Quality/Integrated Management Systems
- Experience in nuclear, engineering, or regulated design environments desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong stakeholder and interface management skills
- Ability to identify and resolve process inefficiencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Desired Skills
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification
- Knowledge of nuclear site licence conditions
- Experience conducting formal process reviews and audits
- Skilled in root cause and trend analysis
