Senior Service Charge Accountant Location: Hertford

Hours: Monday – Friday 9-5.30pm
Type: Hybrid, 2days from home
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000PA

Main duties of theSenior Service Charge Accountant: Produce and review periodic financial reports dependent on client requirements i.e weekly/monthly/quarterly
Enter annual service charge budgets ready for billing
Calculate voids on semi-complete sites
Assist property managers with ad-hoc financial queries from customers & clients
Prepare annual service charge accounts on key client developments
Submit client VAT return calculations as required
Offer an escalation path to assist internal and external customers with complex queries/problems
Liaise with clients as required to discuss the content of the accounts
Essential experienced required for the Senior Service Charge Accountant: Ability to confidently use Microsoft Word and Outlook; and Excel to Intermediate Level
High level of attention to detail & strong time management skills required
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide a consistent high level of customer service, to both internal and external customers.
Ability to make decisions, both independently and collaboratively, based on reasoned arguments and supported by evidence.
Prior experience of service charge accounts preparation, dealing with accountants/audit queries & ensuring compliance with the lease & best practice.
Preferredexperienced required for the Senior Service Charge Accountant: Financial qualification (i.e AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
Ability to read/interpret Leases
