PART TIME Domiciliary Care Assistant

CONTRACTED HOURS

Shift Availability (includes alternate weekends) 16:00-22:30

Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential for this role depending on location.

Domiciliary care is a very rewarding career as you work with clients on a 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 basis, building longstanding professional relationships.

The main duties of a Domiciliary Health Care Assistant include:

  • Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, nutrition, and hydration
  • Providing social, emotional, and physical support to clients
  • Domestic duties such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed linens
  • Meal preparation
  • Supporting with activities and medication needs
  • Offering companionship

The Ideal Domiciliary Care Assistant Will:

  • Have an NVQ Level 2 or above in health and social care or be willing to work towards one
  • Have relevant training or be willing to attend training
  • Previous domiciliary healthcare experience is preferred but not essential
  • Have a DBS check dated within 3 months or be willing to register for one
  • Be flexible, reliable, and committed
