Automotive Bodyshop Painter / Sprayer
Location: Enfield, London
Salary: £35,000 £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Expected Hours: 40-45 hours per week
Shifts:
Monday – Friday 3.00pm – 11.30pm (30 mins lunch break)
Saturday – 9.00am – 2.00pm (2 Saturdays a month)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles for painting: sanding, masking, blocking, and priming

Mix and match paint colours accurately for consistent finishes

Spray primers, basecoats, and clear coats using professional equipment

Blend and feather paint for seamless transitions between panels

Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections prior to paintwork

Ensure proper paint coverage with minimal overspray or wastage

Inspect finished work for quality and consistency

Adhere to all health and safety procedures

Maintain a clean and organized spray booth and work environment

Collaborate with prep and bodyshop teams to meet project timelines
Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience as a Paint Sprayer / Painter in an automotive bodyshop or accident repair centre

Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems (water-based and solvent-based)

Proficient in paint matching, colour mixing, and spray gun techniques

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high standards

Strong understanding of vehicle paint repair processes

Ability to read and understand paint codes and manufacturer specifications

Good communication and teamwork skills

Vocational training or certification in automotive refinishing is advantageous

A full UK driving licence is preferred
