Data Management:

  • Support the collection and collation of key metrics linked to service development, delivery, and outcomes.

Psychological Assessment and Treatment:

  • Provide psychological assessments, screenings, and treatments under the supervision of qualified clinical psychologists.

  • Assist in conducting psychological assessments, including interviews, psychometric testing, and behavioural observations to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.

Therapeutic Group Coordination:

  • Assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups.

  • Support the implementation of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and other approaches tailored to individual client needs.

  • Receive appropriate training supported by Venus Healthcare.

Training and Teaching:

  • Assist in the delivery of teaching and training to other professionals.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including supervision, training sessions, and team meetings.

Project Work:

  • Engage in data collection (via interviews with service users, questionnaires, outcome measures) and collation.

  • Present data and contribute to the dissemination of project findings through presentations and written reports.

  • Assist in the implementation of audit and research projects.

  • Undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist qualified clinical psychologists in evidence-based practice and individual work.

Communication:

  • Provide and receive complex and sensitive information to service users and other stakeholders, considering potential language barriers.

  • Maintain excellent working relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) involved in the development and delivery of projects, such as the Squire funded project on improving psychological care within the stroke pathway in Wakefield, Calderdale, and Kirklees.

Client and Team Support:

  • Work effectively with all professionals involved in a service user’s care to maximise the quality of service delivered.

  • Assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to benefit all service users across various settings.

Care Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and goal-oriented.

  • Hold a degree in Psychology.

  • Possess practical experience in clinical settings.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in psychological theories, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.

  • Show willingness to expand knowledge base and learn on the job.

Client-Centred Approach:
