At The AA, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of operational resilience. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Operational Resilience Manager to join our team and help us continue to meet the requirements of the FCA while driving continuous improvement across our organisation.

As the Operational Resilience Manager, you will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for operational resilience, leading the ongoing embedding and evolution of our Operational Resilience Strategy, Framework, and Policy. You will work closely with various internal teams and key third-party suppliers to ensure alignment and understanding of their levels of resiliency.
What will I be doing?

- Execute BAU plans, applying methodologies for identifying and mapping important business services, impact tolerances, scenario testing, and resilience assessments.
- Support the delivery of the Operational Resilience strategy, maturing the Target Operating Model and governance structures.
- Lead the strategic direction for Crisis Management and Business Continuity frameworks, including the creation and delivery of a BCM strategy.
- Oversee, monitor, and report on Business Continuity activities, producing and presenting management reports to key forums.
- Collaborate with the IT Resilience and Continuity Manager to ensure alignment across policies, frameworks, and plans.
- Develop and deliver a programme of scenario stress testing, ensuring a business-wide communication strategy, training, and awareness for Operational Resilience.

What do I need?
- n
- Extensive knowledge and practical hands-on experience in operational resilience, business continuity, and crisis management, including live implementations and scenario testing.
- Strong understanding of IT-related resiliency, Operational Resilience regulations, and the wider regulatory agenda, with experience in a regulated environment, preferably in Financial Services.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inform, challenge, negotiate, and influence at all levels, including C-suite stakeholders.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and work autonomously while managing workload effectively.
- Strategic thinker with good commercial awareness, analytical skills, and the ability to draw insights from various data sources.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MBCI) are highly desirable, along with a Bachelor\’s degree or extensive experience in a related field, and a willingness to travel to The AA UK sites when required.
