Overview:
We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and highly skilled Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives on tackling complex challenges and has a proven track record in delivering Level 3 network support. This role is based full time in Barrow-in-Furness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 network support, addressing and resolving complex network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement network changes as per requests through the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Support Network NSRs (Network Service Requests) and deliver Network Project activities.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
Technical Expertise Required:
- Advanced experience with Cisco ACI software-defined networking, including multi-site and multi-pod configurations.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including:
- IPSEC: Secure communication over IP networks.
- HSRP: High Availability and Load Balancing.
- BGP: Border Gateway Protocol for routing between different networks.
- OSPF: Open Shortest Path First for dynamic IP routing.
- EIGRP: Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol for network optimisation.
