Duties

The quality inspector will be part of a quality control team interacting with the operations department to ensure quality standards are met that maintain customer satisfaction of both our products and end users.

To carry out formal evaluation and inspection checks of machine products to manufacturing procedure and quality standards, at first off, patrol and final inspection.

Ensure all measurements and checks are recorded correctly where applicable.

Identifying and reacting to quality problems.

Raise any quality issues with the appropriate personnel.

Agreement on the feasibility to rework, whilst identifying and implementing corrective action.

Liaise with internal departments to ensure high quality products are produced.

To get along with others, to function as a team Player, and to accept constructive criticism from Your immediate manager should it be considered Necessary.

Qualifications

Fully time served engineer with a minimum NVQ L3 in mechanical engineering

Required skills

experience using manual measuring equipment including Micrometers, Vernier scales, Height Gauge etc

Reverse engineering and creating reports from samples

complete customer documentation

control of inspection equipment, measuring and test equipment in line with companyprocedures

Ability to read and understand drawings

Experienced in producing written reports

Work to company and customer quality plans
