Responsibilities and daily activities
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance to ensure operational standards are met.
- Act as the main point of contact for all facilities‑related issues and queries.
- Manage supplier relationships, including scheduling and supervising contractors and service providers.
- Monitor building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, access control, fire safety) and report issues promptly.
- Support health & safety compliance, including conducting regular site inspections and maintaining documentation.
- Process facilities purchase orders and invoices, ensuring cost efficiency and budget control.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service contracts, and asset inventories.
- Assist with space planning, office moves, and workstation setups.
- Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Support sustainability initiatives and energy management projects.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or building coordination role.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Working knowledge of health & safety and compliance standards.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office, CAFM systems).
Desirable
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or working towards).
