Pinnacle Pet UK – Data Protection Specialist

We are expanding our team and are searching for a Data Protection Specialist to join us on a full-time basis.

We are flexible on the location of the role; it can be remote or hybrid—whatever suits you best! Some presence will be required in our offices in Borehamwood and Amesbury.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing public-facing mailboxes, responding to data subject requests, logging requests or complaints, and escalating as needed.
  • Acting as a point of contact for colleagues on data protection concerns and coordinating meetings for the GDPO.
  • Maintaining the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA) and incident registers.
  • Advising on and monitoring Data Protection Impact Assessments and related records.
  • Providing guidance on handling personal data, consent, and privacy policies.
  • Supporting training, project work, and the development of policies and procedures.
  • Raising awareness of data protection responsibilities within the organization.

Desired experience:

  • Support experience in data protection within a regulated organization or professional services.
  • Knowledge of UK data protection laws (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act).
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Professional qualifications such as a diploma in data protection or certifications like CIPP, CIPT, ISEB/BCS are beneficial.
