Pinnacle Pet UK – Data Protection Specialist

We are expanding our team and are searching for a Data Protection Specialist to join us on a full-time basis.
We are flexible on the location of the role; it can be remote or hybrid—whatever suits you best! Some presence will be required in our offices in Borehamwood and Amesbury.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing public-facing mailboxes, responding to data subject requests, logging requests or complaints, and escalating as needed.
- Acting as a point of contact for colleagues on data protection concerns and coordinating meetings for the GDPO.
- Maintaining the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA) and incident registers.
- Advising on and monitoring Data Protection Impact Assessments and related records.
- Providing guidance on handling personal data, consent, and privacy policies.
- Supporting training, project work, and the development of policies and procedures.
- Raising awareness of data protection responsibilities within the organization.
Desired experience:
- Support experience in data protection within a regulated organization or professional services.
- Knowledge of UK data protection laws (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act).
- Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Professional qualifications such as a diploma in data protection or certifications like CIPP, CIPT, ISEB/BCS are beneficial.
