BASIC SALARY: £23,000 – £27,000 dependent on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: Laboratory Technician
In order to maintain our advantage within the marketplace we are looking for a talented Laboratory Technician to manage the day to day quality control of our laboratory. In return you will be given a defined progression plan for your career development and future growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Laboratory Technician
As our Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:
· Supporting the day to day function of a laboratory environment
· Guaranteeing all raw material deliveries are accurately labelled and recorded onto the LMS.
· Inspecting all raw materials ensuring customer specifications and quality standards are adhered to.
· Regularly sample testing competitors’ products and report findings.
· Despatching samples to clients and confirm receipt.
· Investigating and managing any non-conformity through root cause analysis.
· Escalating any concerns that may negatively effective the business.
· Ensuring stock rotation is in line with SOPs.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Laboratory Technician
Ultimately you will already have proven experience working within a technical laboratory environment, ideally but not essentially, polyesters, chemicals, coatings, additives, resins, paints, epoxy, food or pharmaceutical.
As well as being:
· Ideally educated to degree level in a chemical or biological discipline.
· Any knowledge of ISO 9001 and 18001/45001 would be of particular Interest
· Naturally analytical with a strong attention to detail and have a methodical approach.
· An excellent communicator who is able to converse at all levels (verbal and written).
· Capable in a variety of IT packages (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
