Production Controller – 4 day week ! (full time hours worked Monday – Thursday) We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Controller to join this team at this engineering process company. The role is hands on, spending a good deal of time on and around the shop floor and acts as the primary liaison for the customers, guaranteeing the punctual and cost-effective fulfilment of their orders. Key Role Responsibilities: Efficient Production Planning: Lead the charge in internal production planning and material scheduling to effectively manage customer orders. Material and Component Oversight: Direct the flow of materials and components from suppliers through to customer delivery. Scheduling Mastery: Generate and oversee production schedules in line with manufacturing capabilities and customer requirements. Collaborative Efforts: Partner with the Shop Floor Supervisor to ensure optimal job distribution and adherence to customer time-lines. Active Meeting Participation: Engage in daily meetings to ensure production activities are synchronised. Order Management: Oversee customer orders and compile comprehensive production reports to direct manufacturing operations. Sales and Delivery Contributions: Play a key role in achieving sales goals and maintaining punctual product delivery. Flexible Role Adaptation: Be prepared to undertake various duties as required and offer support to the Production Planner. Candidate Profile: Organisational Expertise: Strong organisational skills are crucial. Excel Mastery: Proficiency in Excel is required. Communication Excellence: Superior communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and customer service. Numerical Proficiency: Comfort with numbers and calculations is needed. Mechanical Knowledge: Experience in a mechanical or machine shop setting is beneficial. Production Control Experience: Prior experience in production control is preferred. Schedule: Mon – Wed 7am to 5.30pm & Thu 7am to 4.30pm This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependent on experience. You must have current UK right to work to be considered.
