We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a committed team in Oswestry. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with varying needs, helping them to live as independently as possible. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for those in your care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Supporting clients in maintaining their independence and well-being.
- Helping clients participate in community activities and social events.
- Providing companionship and building positive relationships with clients.
- Following health and safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of medical equipment and emergency protocols.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients\’ health or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
- Communicating effectively with other team members and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Level 3 Children\’s and Young People or equivalent
- Understanding of the principles of care and support for individuals with various needs.
- Compassionate and caring nature.
- Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
