An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Rota coordinator to join the Medicine division at East Surrey Hospital. The successful individual will support the clinical rota leads and General Manager with the coordination of medical rota\’s within the division, ensuring safe and effective rostering and clinical safety is maintained at all times. Applicants should have the ability to think calmly and logically under pressure and have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards with attention to detail at all times. You will be quick to learn, be able to work as part of a team and also possess the ability to work autonomously. This is a fast paced role, so you\’ll need to be self-motivated and able to adapt to situations that present themselves on a daily basis. You will oversee and produce accurate rotas for all grades of medical staff working within the Medicine Division as well as coordinate the accurate recording of planned and unplanned absences, such as leave or sickness and carry out various duties relating to rota management. The ideal candidate will also possess previous rota coordination experience, a good general knowledge of NHS, medical staffing rota issues, including national initiatives and Working Time Directive. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and DRS is key.
