Planning Assistant
Location: Norwich
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
My client, an award-winning pioneer in the agricultural world, is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Planning Assistant to join their growing Supply Chainteam. This role isn\’t just a job; it\’s a chance to be at the forefront of sustainable agriculture and make a tangible impact on climate change adaptation.
As a Planning Assistant, you\’ll have the opportunity to develop crucial skills in supply chain management, ERP systems, and production planning. You\’ll learn and be involved in everything from crop cycle planning to customer order scheduling, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with weekly and daily crop and harvest plans
- Enter job numbers into the SCADA system
- Raise production orders in the ERP system for growing and packing
- Create warehouse picks and ensure accurate raw material tracking
- Record seeding, harvesting, and internal movement timings
- Support customer order scheduling and help raise sales orders
- Assist with stock takes and transport coordination (inbound/outbound)
- Provide cover for other team members during holidays
About You:
- Background in planning or production coordination
- Food manufacturing experience is highly desirable
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems a plus
- Reliable, detail-focused and confident communicator
- Able to take direction while working independently
- Solid work ethic and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced environment
