Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship – Terabithia
This Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and learning new skills. You’ll gain real industry experience while earning and working towards a recognised qualification.
Apprenticeship Overview
- Salary: £15,704 per year
- Working Week: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (30 minutes break)
- Duration: 18 months
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship standard qualification

Duties
- Assist in the assembly of R&D installations, ranging from small test rigs to medium-scale systems
- Support in daily operations across all aspects of R&D including builds, testing, and setup
- Help the team in the design-build process—including layout setup, parts handling, test runs, data collection, and characterisation of different systems
- Apply basic engineering and scientific principles—including measurements, calculations, and graphical techniques.
- Help maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and equipment readiness following company procedures.
- Set a strong example in timekeeping, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Support the fabrication and assembly of prototypes using tools and techniques such as: FDM 3D printing, SLS printing, CNC machining and Desktop PCB etching and cutting tools
