OVERVIEW
We are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Bradford, supporting our Health and Safety Compliance lead.
This is a full time, permanent position. This is a home-based role, with one day in our Bradford office (can be office based). A flexible approach to working hours is required and regular travel throughout the UK.
Once contracted, the job holder will work closely with the H&S Compliance lead, reviewing audits, analysing information provided and performing on site visits across the UK to verify, monitor and continuously assess performance and safety standards. Any remedial action will be documented and agreed with each property until a mutually acceptable outcome is reached. The role will work in accordance with CTM’s Quality Management System ISO 9001 and will be a key aspect of this role.
As a Health and Safety advisor you will bring to the role:
· Experience of interpreting and applying health and safety legislation and best practice
· Experience in managing fire safety risk, with a good understanding of Fire Risk Assessments
· Experience of conducting health and safety audits within a sleeping accommodation setting (this could be hotels, student accommodation, care homes etc)
· Excellent communication skills through a range of media and with a range of stakeholders.
· A can-do approach and confidence to check and challenge and make decisions on routine health and safety issues.
· Experience of effectively using your own judgment skills to ensure positive outcomes whilst maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, managers and other stakeholders
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Experience of maintaining and developing, internal quality systems and working within a Quality Management System (ISO 9001 preferred)
- Audit assessment and defect management
