Our Principal Consultant Robin Thomas, has an exclusively retained and great opportunity available, to join a progressive, fast growing systems integrator. Due to a continued period of strong growth, our client is looking to add a Senior Telemetry Consultant to their team.
The Senior Telemetry Consultant will be responsible for managing a number of delivery streams, ensuring the Systems Integrators are delivering to the required quality and producing the necessary documentation in a timely manner.
This is a hybrid working role, where youll be required to visit a percentage of sites to perform quality assessments of the installations. Were searching for someone that has long term career ambitions with this company and wants to help drive their rapid expansion.
Key Duties &Responsibilities
- Managing several streams of work
- Quality assessment of subcontractor installations and handover documentation
- Report to Lead Engineer and provide regular updates to Project and Programme management team
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated track record of expertise in Software, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline
- Telemetry and SCADA expertise (preferably with Thames Water experience)
- 5-10 years of experience in telemetry and RTUs (preferably with Thames Water experience)
- Proven technical writing experience, including the development of comprehensive technical documentation for control systems
- Eye for detail role involves scrutinising Systems Integrators installations and documentation to ensure quality is there
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in Telemetry protocols and communications
- Proven team leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members to success
- Knowledge of WITS DNP3 protocol (preferably ClearSCADA) is desirable
Candidate Requirements
- Full clean driving licence
- Right to work in the UK (no Visa restrictions or sponsorship requirements)
- Ability to regularly commute to Reading with ease
