Salary Scale: Band A- £52,035 – £78,051 (pro-rata, 2024-2025 Rates)
NHS Highland Public Dental Service currently has an exciting opportunity for a full time Dental Officer to provide services at Dunvegan Dental Clinic, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye. The Public Dental Service provides care to patient groups who cannot access NHS dentistry via General Dental Practitioners and the post holder will be expected to provide the full range of General Dental Services to these groups including anxious patients, so experience in delivering inhalation sedation is desirable.
Clinical experience of providing treatment to priority group patients is desirable and experience of providing routine general dental services is essential. GDC registration as a dentist, evidence of participation in postgraduate dental education and successful listing with the Health Board is essential. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, while having the ability to deal with difficult situations and challenging patient behaviours in a positive manner will be essential.
