Job Purpose:

This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for MuleSoft Programmer whowill play a major role in the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at clientlocations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Design, develop, test, and deploy MuleSoft APIs and integration flows using Anypoint Studio and other MuleSoft components.
Work with business analysts and architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Create RAML specifications, build RESTful APIs, and manage API versions through API Manager.
Implement data transformations, orchestrations, and process flows across enterprise systems.
Use MuleSoft connectors to integrate with third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, databases, cloud platforms).
Ensure scalability, reusability, and performance in API design and implementation.
Apply error handling, logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices in all integrations.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Maintain documentation and support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of existing integrations.
Stay updated on MuleSoft features and evolving best practices.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Any point Platform, including Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, API Designer, and API Manager.
Strong experience in building RESTful APIs, API-led connectivity, and RAML specifications.
Solid understanding of integration patterns, messaging protocols (HTTP, JMS, FTP, etc.), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., DataWeave) and working with complex data structures.
Proficiency in Java, Maven, and building tools as part of MuleSoft development.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps) and deployment to Cloud Hub or hybrid/on-premises environments.
Experience integrating with cloud applications (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, SAP, AWS).
Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and API security best practices.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
Knowledge of Salesforce integration or enterprise ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
