A day in the life of…
As a Night Porter, you will be crucial to maintaining the safety, security, and smooth running of the hotel during night hours. Bringing at least one year of night-shift experience, you will work closely with the Night Duty Manager to support Night Audits and end-of-day reporting, while ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for guests.
Your role is hands-on and varied, combining guest service, cleaning, and food & beverage duties. You will conduct at least two scheduled fire and security checks per shift, assist with late check-ins and early check-outs, and respond promptly to guest inquiries. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and presentation in public and staff areas, and providing flexible support across departments such as food & beverage, front office, housekeeping and maintenance.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of one year’s experience in a night porter or night-based role
Familiarity with Night Audit procedures and hotel front office systems (training can be provided)
Excellent attention to detail to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional manner
Customer service experience is advantageous, especially in hospitality or guest-facing roles
Ability to work independently, reliably, and with initiative
Willingness to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
