Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA are looking to recruit an experienced Restaurant General Manager for an exciting new restaurant in central Leeds.

Located atop the brand-new Hyatt Place in Sovereign square, Azotea is culturally Latin, inspired by the vast geographical landscape, architecture, fun loving people, and local traditions.

With views of the city, on entering you are transported to a place where music, entertainment and energy are at the core of its existence with unique architecture and colourful, distinctive food throughout the day leading to a carnival atmosphere by night.

A day in the life ofโ€ฆ

  • This role will see you oversee all aspects of the restaurant\’s operations, including managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving a first-class team culture
  • Hiring and training staff: You would be responsible for recruiting and hiring employees for various positions, including chefs, servers, bartenders, and hosts. You would also need to train them to ensure they understand the restaurant\’s culture and expectations.
  • Managing day-to-day operations: overseeing all aspects of the restaurant\’s day-to-day operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and monitoring food and beverage quality.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service: Setting the standard so that customers have an exceptional dining experience.
  • Ensuring profitability: Managing the restaurant\’s finances, including monitoring revenue and expenses, creating budgets, and implementing strategies to improve profitability.
  • Marketing and promotions: You would work with the marketing team to create and implement promotions and marketing strategies.

What do we need from you?

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high volume restaurant management, with a focus on Latin cuisine with experience of working to a comprehensive pre-opening schedule in independent restaurants, including creation and facilitation of core staff training.

You will have a strong understanding of the unique flavours and cooking techniques that make Latin cuisine so special, and you will be able to use that knowledge to create an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.

In addition to your culinary expertise, you will have exceptional leadership and communication skills. You will be able to motivate and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service, and you will be able to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders alike.
