Job Title: STC Shift Process Operator- Waste Water
Location: Bexhill & Hastings- you MUST have a valid UK Drivers Licence (used for site vehicle\’s any additional training will be provided)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £27,496.64 + 20% Shift Allowance
Shift Pattern: You will work a rotating schedule of 4 days on (2 days / 2 nights) followed by 4 days off, with each working shift lasting 12 hours. After completing 7 full rotations, you will receive an extended 18-day break for rest and recovery.
Ideally you will be based in or around the surrounding areas of Bexhill & Hastings.

You have the opportunity to earn a great base salary package from £27,496.64 plus a great company benefits package, in a role with stability and progression combined with pay progression as you achieve the competencies required.
You do not need a background in the Waste Water industry. We would welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas. This role has a focus on compliance, technical problems solving, repairing and maintenance.

You will be part of the frontline operations team in the Kent area and the business simply cannot operate without you. Every day is different, you will be working in all weather conditions carrying out a range of tasks, to ensure the essential functions of our wastewater treatment works and wastewater pumping stations operate to maintain the supply to our customers and protect the environment.
Although work is generated to you on a weekly basis, you will be managing your own time, giving you the freedom and flexibility to design your own working week, you will learn how to be organised and proactive.
Your Core Responsibilities Will Be
- Compliance testing.
- Maintenance tasks – unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure contin uous plant operation.
- Repair of alarms systems.
- Monitoring, collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Fault finding and problem-solving skills are essential to respond to breakdowns.
- Site Hygiene in line with our regulatory obligations.
- Using IT systems to accurately log maintenance tasks and field activities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards
