Job Description
Location: Belfast (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead a high-profile, multi-year Data Transformation Program within the financial services industry. This strategic leadership role will oversee three core data initiatives – Party Data, Instrument Data, and Data Strategy – driving delivery through the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and managing a large, globally distributed team.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex transformation program with significant visibility and impact, requiring both strategic oversight and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Delivery: Drive end-to-end delivery of the data transformation program, ensuring all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- SAFe Execution: Champion the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), facilitating PI Planning, managing the program backlog, and aligning cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for senior business and technology stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate a globally distributed team of 36+ professionals across multiple locations, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively manage program-level risks, dependencies, and integration points between initiatives and external teams.
- Technical Oversight: Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving technical landscape, including decommissioning of legacy systems and adoption of a new AWS-based data ecosystem.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Certified SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) with extensive, hands-on experience managing large-scale programs using SAFe.
- Proven track record delivering complex, data-centric programs within the financial services industry.
- Expertise in managing large (30+), geographically distributed teams.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
