Art & Design teacher – full time – Manchester – Summer term

Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified, passionate and dedicated teacher of Design and Technology to join a secondary school in Manchester for the summer term. The role will be full time, and it is essential that you hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent experience teaching within an Art & Design department at a secondary school.

The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional support to students, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistance/management. You will also need to be available to attend parents evenings, and departmental meetings as and when required.

You will be required to be able to teach at least 1 of these subjects, food technology, resistant materials & textiles.

All candidates will be required to hold QTS/QTLS

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent

Previous experience working in a UK school

Subject specific teaching experience

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)

Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)

Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided)

Design and Technology UK Teaching experience desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one
