Position Overview

Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Contracts Specialist, located in our Aberdeen Office.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Specialist will be responsible for the contractual management and administration of a portfolio of capital project and decommissioning contracts. This includes coordinating tender/sourcing activities to meet business needs and supporting ongoing activities, ensuring the company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual and/or commercial risks.

Responsibilities

Business Delivery

  • Tendering / Sourcing: Supply chain management focal point for tender / sourcing requirements, including:
  • Prioritising tender schedules and managing workload to meet business requirements,
  • Preparing requests for proposal documentation with input from SMEs / stakeholders,
  • Leading the tender process and communications with tenderers,
  • Conducting commercial and contractual evaluations, coordinating with technical / HES teams,
  • Leading negotiations with tenderers,
  • Preparing and presenting award recommendations for approval,
  • Drafting contracts using company templates and arranging for execution.

Post-Award Contract Management: Managing contracts from kick-off to close-out, including:

  • Providing contractual advice and interpretation, engaging legal when necessary,
  • Ensuring compliance with company and JV requirements,
  • Managing claims and disputes, coordinating with SMEs, and leading resolution efforts,
  • Administering contracts using company systems and templates,
  • Managing SAP/e-procurement system records.

Organisation Capability

  • Engaging with SMEs in legal, finance, HES, and information risk management,
  • Representing the business at internal tender board meetings.

Relationship Management

  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Supporting Ithaca\’s reputation as a client of choice,
  • Monitoring external environment for business opportunities,
  • Championing HES matters in procurement activities.

Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, with detailed knowledge of UKCS contracts, tendering, awarding, and managing contracts. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience with energy sector supply chain management, especially with operators and contractors. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications include a degree or equivalent experience, project management skills, knowledge of contracting processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster effective relationships.
