Ackerman Pierce works closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children awaiting school placements. We are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA\’s/tutors/teachers to support children with complex needs.
We are recruiting Outreach Tutors to support Learners in and around Ipswich, specifically in Math and English.
- Location – Ipswich
- Position – 1:1 Tutor
- Start date – ASAP
- End date – Ongoing
- Contract type – Temporary
- Hours – up to 15 hours per week per learner
- Rate of pay – Starting at £30 per hour
- Term Time Only
- During School Hours Only
Candidate requirements:
- Available during school hours, up to 30 hours per week
- Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects
- Experience teaching young people with complex needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies
- Prepared to work face-to-face within the community
Qualifications and experience:
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes from KS1 to KS5
- QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years\’ experience teaching NC core subjects
- Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated needs
- At least 2 years\’ experience working in a UK school
