About you
You have a solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH, and you’re looking for a role in a fun, friendly team where you can thrive and utilize your culinary skills.
What you\’ll be doing
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with the Nursery Cook to prepare nutritious, freshly made meals while maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards. Your flexibility and reliability will ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Catering for children with specific dietary needs
- Adhering to Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Ofsted guidelines
- Ensuring children have safe, stimulating eating experiences
- Maintaining stock levels and rotation
- Following COSHH and other safety guidelines
- Deputising for the Cook during absences, potentially full-time when needed
What you\’ll need
- Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification
- Experience in a commercial kitchen as an assistant cook or chef
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
