A British passport is a requirement for this role to meet the security clearance eligibility.

Responsible for effective delivery of technical support and installations. This will include break-fix tasks,

including hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments, site planning, problem escalation, and managing installations in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) datacenter.

Prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements.

Provide 24×7 site coverage for Oracle OCI datacenter sites.

Works primarily at an Oracle datacenter in a “mission critical operations” environment.

Requires a 7×24-hours commitment to participate in the regional standby rotation program and shift.

Involves on-call shifts, which require a driving license and the ability to reach the datacenter site within 60 minutes.

Work in close collaboration with other technical teams & non-technical teams (networking, compute, compliance, business operations).

Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solutions in a timely manner.

Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.

Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure; structured cabling installation is a significant part of this position.

Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware.

Work within a ticket-based environment.

Able to prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to ensure continued technician activities, in line with internal policies and service level agreements. Be aware of and abide by ticket processes and protocol, including OCI change management rules.

Perform system board level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAs.

Use provided tools for proper and timely internal reporting.

Plan and commission new rack positions.

Involved with the design & commissioning of new whitespaces.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team without friction.

Possess solid knowledge of fiber and copper cabling.
