As a Senior Privacy and Information Manager, a large part of your role will be around providing subject matter expertise to Direct Line Group business areas.
This role involves a breadth of privacy and information work as well as involvement in a variety of projects; to ensure success you’ll need to take ownership of building credible relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, to facilitate smooth day to day working and project outcomes and promote and improve the perception of risk and compliance within Direct Line Group.

Providing subject matter expert policy advice and guidance to DLG business areas with a particular focus on UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, PECR and associated matters, ensuring Privacy by Design is integrated into business processes, including DPIAs, LIAs, transfer risk assessments, contractual requirements and retention and disposal of information.

Ensuring identified P&IM risks and issues are well managed to satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.

Keep Privacy & Data Protection and Information management minimum standards up to date and coherent with all other information policies and ensuring operational processes for subject access request, complaints and data portability are maintained and consistent with legislation.

Maintain Group-wide data privacy notices.

Development of the wider team through knowledge transfer.

Develop implement, and maintain training and content material relating to P&IM.

Detailed working knowledge of key Privacy legislation and regulation including UK GDPR, DPA 2018 and e-Privacy directive.

Strong knowledge of digital marketing and on line advertising technologies.

Good knowledge of key information management principles and concepts

Provide accurate reports and using data and metrics to lead to the right recommendations and decisions

Either completed or working towards privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, PC.dp (or equivalent)

Experience of working in a highly regulated industry would be beneficial
